Good News for English Students

It's no secret that most of English students are upset from the inexcusable neglect from Ministry of Higher Education and Scholarship Affairs. First of all, English major was never a choice for those who want to pursue their graduate studies abroad which doesn't make a single sense. English is equally important, if not more, as other majors such as marketing and accounting. Second, it's almost as impossible to continue post-graduate studies where they accept a ridiculously small number of students each year whereas Harvard admit from 10 to 15 applicants. Well, cry no more my fellow comrades, we are finally acknowledged that we are worthy of the scholarship.

English bachelor students have the right to continue their studies in English even if it's not one of the majors provided by the scholarship. And due to the fact it is highly needed in the kingdom, English major is to be included in the future King Abdullah Scholarship Programs.  - Dr. Abdullah Al Mosa.

It's true that this is what English students do each year, but it was done in secret and sometimes they go through a lot of troubles because it's officially against the scholarship's rules.

It's about time they start to realize the importance of English, and especially in the academic field. A huge amount of English graduates end up working in administration fields or work at schools. Meanwhile, universities' faculty from different nationalities hogging their chairs that have already mold growing on them. I would love to see new SAUDI blood in universities and I believe they will do great. Congratulations for all, and now it's your time to show them how bright you can shine.
